GOVERNMENT UNIVERSITY UGC APPROVED, NAAC ACCREDITED 'A' GRADE
Periyar University is located in Salem, TamilNadu, India. It was established by the Government of TamilNadu in 1997. It is named after social reformer Thanthai Periyar E. V. Ramasamy. It is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. The university is on the Bangalore National Highways (NH – 7), 7 km from Salem city and easily connected by road. The campus extends to about 100 acres (0.40 km2) accommodating the administrative and department blocks. A total of 86 colleges from four districts of Tamil Nadu are affiliated with the university, which includes 5 autonomous colleges, 65 colleges with PG departments and 45 colleges with research departments. More than 1,35,000 students are studying in the affiliated colleges.
IMMRI is Approved by Periyar University, Salem under University Industry Collaborative Programme (UICP).
